There are no dumb questions. NOT asking questions is dumb.
Has anyone taken the time to sit down with you and explain how the process works?
I offer my clients a free Buyer Consultation. We get together in my office for 20-30 minutes - I explain the home buying process, and review closing costs and taxes so that you know exactly what to expect. I also provide you with a copy of my Guide to Home Buying. You leave with a much better understanding of the process, enabling you to be armed with all the information you need.
I'm here to guide you through the process. I have taken specialized training and achieved accreditation as a Accredited Buyer Representative. My favourite part of selling real estate is working with first time home buyers. I have been a Realtor in Port Coquitlam for many years and I love it here.
I will make the process of purchasing a home easier, more enjoyable, and less time-consuming and frustrating for you. I will help you prepare so that sellers perceive you as a preferred buyer, find properties for sale that match your specifications, and help you through the myriad of details attending the actual purchase.
I will assist you in negotiating the best price on a home that is perfectly suited to your needs and lifestyle. Not just today, but for years to come.
In BC the seller pays both the listing agent, and the buyers agent. If you are buying - the seller pays for my services - there is no additional cost to you, call me now. Let's get started!
Your first step
Call me. Let's sit down and go through the Buyers Consultation. I'll ask you a list of questions designed to help me help you.
Why do you want to buy a home: To stop paying rent? To start building equity? To have a place of your own? To raise a family? To move up to a bigger house?
Next, list what kind of home you'd like and where you would like to be. Be specific. Separate the "must haves" from the "want to haves."
Think of yourself as zeroing in on a target, going from the general to the specific. Consider area; community; neighbourhood (a particular school zone; recreational facilities; and other community services such as transportation, day care, stores, entertainment). Commute time? How much space to you need? Do you want a newer home? An older one to fix up? Consider how long you expect to live in this particular home.
Call me and I will refer you to a mortgage professional that has an excellent reputation and track record for successfully acquiring loan approvals for their clients.
Finding the right home
Once you've been pre-qualified and know what price range you are comfortable with, I can help you determine which properties fit your needs by using the (MLS) Multiple Listing Service system to locate them. When I set up a search for you it enables you to see homes 24 - 48 hours before they are available to the general public.
Some buyers prefer me to handpick properties for their consideration; others want to receive the hotsheets on a daily basis so they can comb through the new listings themselves. Remember you are the boss.
