BuyingASK Questions
There are no dumb questions. NOT asking questions is dumb.
Has anyone taken the time to sit down with you and explain how the process works? I offer a free Buyer Consultation. I explain the process, review closing costs and taxes so that you know exactly what to expect. I also provide you with a copy of my Guide to Home buying. You leave with a much better understanding of the process, and hopefully, you are comfortable enough with me that you will enlist my services.
I'm here to guide you through the process. When purchasing a home, you are faced with a multitude of decisions! Are you actually prepared to purchase a home? How do you know how where to start?
I will make the process of purchasing a home easier, more enjoyable, and less time-consuming than if you undertook this challenge on your own. I will help you prepare so that sellers perceive you as a preferred buyer, help you locate and assess properties for sale that match your specifications, and help you through the myriad of details attending the actual purchase.
I will assist you in negotiating the best price on a home that is perfectly suited to your needs and lifestyle. Not just today, but for years to come.
p.s. In BC the seller pays both the listing agent, and the buyers agent. If you are buying only - the seller pays for my services - there is no additional cost to you. CALL ME now. Let's get started!
Your First StepCall me. Let's sit down and go through the Buyers Consultation. I'll ask you a list of questions designed to help me help you.
Why you want to buy a home: to stop paying rent? To start building equity? To have a place of your own? To raise a family? To move up to a bigger house? Next, list what kind of home you'd like and where you would like to be. Be specific. Separate the "must haves" from the "want to haves."
Think of yourself as zeroing in on a target, going from the general to the specific. Consider area; community; neighbourhood (a particular school zone; recreational facilities; and other community services such as transportation, day care, stores, entertainment). Ask yourself how many minutes you are willing to commute to work.
How much space do you need? Do you want a newer home, or maybe an older one to fix up? Consider how long you expect to live in this particular home.
Loan Pre-Qualification
Your next step in the purchasing process is to get pre-qualified with a lender.
Call me and I will refer you to a mortgage professional that has an excellent reputation and track record for successfully acquiring loan approval for their clients.
Finding The Right HomeOnce you've been pre-qualified and know what price range you want to stay in, I can help you determine which properties fit your needs by using the (MLS) Multiple Listing Service system to locate them. When I set up a search for you it enables you to see homes 24 - 48 hours before they are available to the general public.
Some buyers prefer me to handpick properties for their consideration; others want to receive the hotsheets on a daily basis so they can comb through the new listings themselves. Remember you're the boss.
